Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area - Parkland County

12K Trail Run

This course is the most technical with 50% single track, 50% Nordic trail and will have some challenging climbs and descents. Cut-off will be 2hrs.


6K Run/Walk

This course will be 100% Nordic trail with gentle rolling hills - All terrain strollers are allowed on this course.

1.2K Kid's Fun Run

This course will follow a flat double wide trail.


All distances will run in a loop and will start/finish in the same location. Trails will be will be clearly flagged and distance signage provided.

You pick the distance, route and upload your results. It's as easy as 1-2-3. 

Your run & results must be completed between August 26 & 28.

This is an honor system and we will mail out your package at least one week prior to the event.

Be prepared for the elements and trail conditions on the day of the event

Local COVID guidelines/restrictions will be in effect on race day including but not limited to event cancellation. If event must be cancelled for any reason cost of registration less fees will be refunded

Outhouses onsite

No dogs on the race course

Park will be open to the general public

All participants names will be put into a draw for random draws during the live event

All proceeds less expenses will go to Our House Addiction Recovery Centre*

*Our House is a non-profit residential addiction treatment centre for men and has been striving to combat addiction in Edmonton since 1984. Our House runs a year-long residential program for men with substance or alcohol use disorders who have completed a short-term residential treatment program.

Some runners/walkers participate to celebrate their own recovery, others join to remember a loved one they lost to addiction or a loved one who is currently struggling with addiction and others have no personal connection but just want to get involved with the cause.
